Tau Diarora’s Ntiyiso Khosa drops two new singles
By Simon Makgoga
Tau Diarora is the name of his gospel group. Simply translated it means Lions Roar, but not the kind that hunts in the jungle. These lions roar in heavenly sweet melodies spreading a gospel whirlwind, healing the sick, comforting troubled hearts, and calling souls to repentance.
The graveyard-deep voice behind this anointing is Caiphus Ntiyiso Khosa.
The easy going Khosa has just released two powerful new singles titled Ke Binela Mangeloi and Holokile on 30 June.
The razor-sharp, focused artist started in a Sunday School choir, with little sense that he was destined to command gospel stages with a captivating voice.
After discovering his gift, he sharpened it with the Rixile Boys Choir, later proving himself with Malamulele Holy Boys and with the Olievenhoutbosch-based choir near Tshwane.
His musical breakthrough came when he joined forces with seasoned musician Dr Joe Shirimani on his 2007 debut album, Mahlomoleng.
The project received an incredible reception from gospel lovers, and Cool Spot Production quickly recognized his sterling work.
Driven by passion and unwavering faith, he released the follow-up, Mapastola Masione Bazalwane, in 2010 under Cool Spot Production with the help of Nelson Moloi and Lesley Nkoana. That opened the musical floodgates.
The same year, he delivered a third album, Suka Ndleleni Sathana, followed by Mosadi Wa Mosamaria, recorded in 2014 at Hiltec Recording Studio and mastered at Sarona Studio.
The unstoppable, proactive artist with ingrained passion has worked with legends including the late Oleseng Shuping, Nkosana, Mojeremane and Dr Kenny Makweng.
Dr Winnie Mashaba, Sinky Mathe, and many more are no exception, and he remains grateful for their continued support.
The continentally acclaimed musician known across neighboring states where audiences have seen him perform live is also chairperson of the Limpopo Artists’ Organisation, which he founded.
The dedicated, consummate singer, born in Madonsi village, Giyani, and currently residing in Mookgopong, clarified the organization’s main objective:
“We believe that every talent is an art.
Every identified art should be nurtured, unlocked, and supported by any means possible until we yield the desired results.”
The legendary musician will next year on 2 January celebrate a steady milestone of 20 years dishing spiritual food to the nations at Mokopane Multi-Purpose Centre with a customized gigantic cake.
Other lions roar to scatter. Tau Diarora roars to gather.
And when heaven hears, the earth cannot help but bow.
