Sppsa Offer R200, 000 Reward and Strongly Condemns the Cit Robbery in Mamelodi
By Security Personnel Party of South Africa
Security Personnel Party of South Africa (SPPSA) has strongly condemned and expresses deep concern regarding the highly violent and reckless cash-in-transit (CIT) robbery that occurred yeatserday in Mamelodi East, Pretoria.
SPPSA is offering a reward of R200 000 for information that will lead to the apprehension and successful prosecution of the robbers.
All information to be directed to the police.
We can not condone such acts in Tshwane.
Two security officers lost their lives while one of them is still fighting for his life in hospital.
It is reported that a heavily armed syndicate intercepted an armored vehicle, utilizing high-caliber firearms and explosives to compromise the cash van before fleeing.
Such acts of extreme violence show a complete disdain for human life and the rule of law.
A multidisciplinary task team has been activated to relentlessly track down these dangerous criminals and bring them to book.
Cash-in-Transit (CIT) robberies face widespread condemnation from law enforcement, private security regulators, and government officials across South Africa.
We strongly condemn the increasing military-grade tactics used by syndicates, including the use of commercial explosives to blow open armored vehicles, high-caliber assault rifles, and reckless shootouts in public spaces.
As SPPSA we want to issue a stern warning to members of the community to refrain from gathering at the crime scene to collect scattered notes.
This practice is a criminal offense, constitutes theft, and gravely risks lives due to unexploded devices and volatile crime scene dynamics.
It is also sad that a member of the community decided to involve himself in the matter by going to the crime scene to steal a rifle that was at the scene.
We are pleased that the police have arrested the said member of the community who will have to face the full might of the law.
