The Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane, Dr Nasiphi Moya, together with the Deputy Executive Mayor and MMC for Finance, Cllr Eugene Modise, officially launch the City’s new electronic procurement platform, marking a major step in the City’s drive to root out corruption, strengthen financial governance and modernise the way public money is managed.

Moya and Modise were joined by other members of the Mayoral Committee and senior city officials.

The new platform introduces a transparent, fully digital procurement system designed to reduce opportunities for corruption, minimise human error and discretionary decision-making, and ensure that procurement processes are fair, efficient and accountable.

The launch forms part of the City’s broader reform agenda to build an ethical, accountable and capable local government that safeguards public resources, restores public confidence and delivers better value for residents.

Powered by the SAP Ariba Business Network, the platform enables end-to-end digital management of supplier registration, sourcing, contract management and
supplier engagement, significantly reducing administrative delays while enhancing
transparency and governance.
