Afrika Mayibuye Movement (MAYIBUYE) leadership led by President Nyiko Floyd Shivambu and March and March leadership, led by Mrs Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma held a bilateral meeting in Johannesburg on 15 June 2026.
The meeting deliberated on various issues confronting South African society in particular immigration and the influx of undocumented and illegal immigrants into South Africa.
March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma with Mayibuye Movement leader Floyd Shivambu
Both MAYIBUYE and March and March share common perspective that we do not support undocumented and illegal immigration into South Africa from all corners of the world.
Illegal and Undocumented immigration poses an internal and external security risk and confuses planning in the allocation of resources.
The private sector in South Africa is exploiting the situation through
employment on undocumented and illegal immigration.
The meeting agreed on the following:
1. To hold joint seminars, workshops and public lectures with all people
who are concerned about illegal and undocumented immigration and provide short, medium and long-term solutions to the immigration crises.
2. Isolate related legislation and laws at local, provincial and national spheres of government for review and amendment purposes to strengthen South Africa’s immigration laws.
3. To engage other interested stakeholders on immigration with the aim of establishing a common perspective.
4. To jointly conduct Public education and awareness initiatives on Immigration and its consequences
5. To support all the peaceful actions against undocumented and illegal immigration into South Africa
All these will culminate into development of policy perspective in addressing the crises of undocumented and illegal immigration in South Africa.
We call on all sectors of society inclusive of all political parties, civil society, private sector and government to combine all efforts in seeking solutions to the immigration crises and avoid deligitimisation of forces that are fighting against undocumented and illegal immigration.
