The identified premises were subsequently placed under surveillance in order to establish contact with the occupants of the smallholding.
A male suspect, 39 years old, believed to have knowledge of and links to the property, was traced in the area.

During the search, a significant quantity of ammunition of various calibres, as well as SANDF uniform items, were discovered and confiscated.
Further preliminary investigations at the scene led to the identification of a second premises located within a complex in Silverton.
Upon arrival, the suspect cooperated with the investigation team and pointed out a cupboard in a bedroom.
A total of eight firearms were recovered at the premises, including three handguns, four rifles, and one shotgun.
All firearms were confiscated.
