With the testimony of Maj General Senona, Provincial Head of the Hawks in KZN, it is very clear that our country is in deep trouble.
Listening to Maj General Senona, he is supposed to arrest corrupt criminals and deal harshly with corruption. Here we have a very senior Hawks official working with an alleged kingpin who is accused of very serious crimes in the country -Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, a man who is mentioned by the Head of Crime Intelligence Dumisani Khumalo as one of the Big 5.
These scary revelations before the Madlanga Commission about Maj General Senona cannot just bet treated as another witness.
Given his testimony, urgent action is needed. Maj General Senona must be immediately removed from that office.
He cannot sit in that office for a day longer.
We have said before that the Hawks cannot be trusted in fighting corruption and crime.
We feel vindicated.
Maj General Senona must be removed as Head of Hawks to avoid further damage.
He must also be investigated for contravening security laws of the country.
