Former professional touched down in Mamelodi to play against each other at the fellowship day games. The games were held at Mamelodi west Mukleneck sports ground in Tshwane. Young soccer players got the opportunity to mingle with their soccer star legends.

Hundreds of young soccer players, fans and parents came to watch the soccer legends. Dlalisa Moyeni football club under 13, 17 and 19 years played against Rockfvs football club, V M Galaxy football club and No Fear Boys football on the fellowship day game.  The fellowship games were organized by founder of Dlalisa Moyeni foundation Bongani Skosana.

Skosana told Tshwane Talks he always organizes the fellowship day games where upcoming soccer players come together and play against each other and he encourages them by giving them a trophy and medals. This year, the fellowship day games are totally different because he invited the soccer legends  to play against each other and entertain the upcoming young players

Former soccer legend Edward Motale said it was a great initiative for Dlalisa Moyeni and he hopes they can do this thing regularly.

Former soccer player Doctor Khumalo said it was an exhibition game and the score-line did not matter.  “The only problem I have is that the South African legends don’t know how to play friendly matches because they think that they are still playing like 20 years ago and the tackles are flying.

They must just enjoy the game. He promised that by next year March 2024 he will take part in the games.

Former soccer player Portia Modise said  it is very special to be invited to this special tournament.

“I’m happy and it is so nice to see members of the community taking that responsibility and give young players an opportunity to showcase their talent.

“Big up to the organizers and young people must grab the opportunity and run with it. I will come back if I am called again,” she said.
