IT IS THE WEARER OF THE SHOE WHO KNOWS WHERE IT PINCHES, STUPID!

There is an English idiom which goes: it is the wearer of the shoe who knows where it pinches.

This idiom flooded my mind after fast-growing anti-illegal migration movement March and March was criticised for having met with AfriForum by some leaders and copycats who want us to believe they are intellectuals just because they have PhD degrees.

The said copycats who hold PhD degrees referred to herein never start anything which is out of their own thinking but hop from political parties, radio stations and foundations started by somebody else.

As doctors they are the ones who should be studying societal ills and then come up with original solutions, but alas, they follow misguided politicians religiously.

What a waste of intellectual capacity!

March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma made it clear there is obviously matters on which the two organisations will never ever agree and that all that they want to learn from AfriForum is the latter’s litigation strategies and community-building intiatives.

March and March as a community- based organisation knows at first hand the ills bedevelling black and Coloured communities in South Africa: illegal immigration, unemployment, poverty, prevalent school dropout rates due to the deadly drug nyaope, crime, collapsed community structures and cultural decadence.

Now because March and March feels the pain of black and Coloured communities, it has taken it upon itself to learn about strategies to litigate against the funny, unfair immigration laws, as well as regulations and policies implemented by the government meant at oppressing the said communities.

These said rules, laws and policies are visible and inherent at government entities like the Department of Home Affairs, SAPS and tertiary institutions.

Recently SAPS published a circular signed by Lieutenant General MJ Mamotheti wherein the police are warned not to assist local communities regarding the identification and arrest of illegal immigrants.

The circular expressly states that it is only immigration officers who can apprehend illegal immigrants, but this is blatantly unrealistic as the country only has 800 immigration officers who are expected to round up millions and millions of illegal immigrants.

This won’t happen in this lifetime and it will actually take a lifetime and a half for the 800 immigration officers to arrest all the illegal foreigners in South Africa.

This is one of the issues which March and March wants to litigate against and force the government to increase the number of immigration officers and also allow the police and members of the public to arrest illegal foreigners on sight.

Illegal immigration is a crime in and of itself anywhere in the world, and any undocumented person walking the streets of South Africa is therefore a crime scene in motion.

But in terms of the said SAPS circular, this crime in motion is a special kind of crime about which members of the public and the SAPS must not do anything but must wait for the unavailable, incapacitated and outnumbered immigration officers to arrive on the scene and politely take care of the situation with “dignity and respect.”

Universities like Fort Hare and other tertiary institutions have hired foreign lecturers from Nigeria who they pay millions of rand in terms of remuneration, yet the said Nigerian lecturers don’t have any special skills that unemployed South African lecturers don’t possess.

This is another factor against which March and March will litigate.

Yet another debilitating factor which March and March will obviously litigate against is the continued employment of foreign-born lawyer Stefanie de Saude by the Department of Home Affairs as its advisor regarding immigration matters.

Simple research shows that de Saude came to South Africa in her youth when her father migrated to this country.

Now why should foreigners be employed to advise Home Affairs regarding issues of migration?

Isn’t it blatantly obvious that such foreigners will obviously come up with policies that are biased towards foreigners to the detriment of local South Africans.

Now listen to this…the selfsame Stefanie de Saude is defending infamous Nigerian beauty queen Adetshina Chidima in her court case against the selfsame Department of Home Affairs which has employed her as its advisor, yet people like Home Affairs Advisory Board chairperson Mavuso Msimang say they see no conflict of interest in this situation.

I say there is a blatant conflict of interest here and I don’t care what Msimang is saying regarding this matter.

Durbandi is representing a person who is opposing the intention of the Home Affairs to deport her, isn’t she ( Durbandi)in conflict or opposition to the intentions of the Department of Home Affairs?

Yet another issue which March and March will litigate against is the depressing employment of foreigners as officials of the South African Human Rights Commission.

The Human Rights Commission officials get paid by the government to protect the human rights of South Africans but this entity blatantly doesn’t give a damn about protecting the rights of South Africans, but is blatantly bent on protecting the so-called rights of foreigners, and has taken organisations like March and March and Operation Dudula to court regarding issues pertinent to illegal immigrants umpteen times.

Now where must March and March go when seeking strategies and advice regarding issues affecting its people and the desire to rebuild collapsed community structures?

Must they go and seek advice from corrupt tenderpreneaurs in the ANC as well as Parliamentarians whose nefarious schemes have been exposed at the Madlanga Commission?

Many black and Coloured people support March and March because it highlights their aspirations, fears, concerns and challenges, finish en klaar!

Those who criticise March and March don’t realise that Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma is honestly advocating for the rights of black and Coloured South Africans whose rights have been trampled upon numerous times by a government that doesn’t give one iota about them, but would actually like to see them vanish from the surface of the earth as they are seemingly a nuisance demanding things like service delivery constantly and the removal of illegal foreigners from this country.

March and March knows where the shoe of the black and Coloured communities pinches.

Needles to say, it is the wearer of the shoe who knows where it pinches, stupid!
