ARMCHAIR CRITIC:ARGENTINA FANS WILL REALISE THAT SPANISH FOOTBALL IS THE BEST

Come Sunday, all Argentina fans will come to realise that Spanish national team football philosophy is simply the best.

Spain don’t care about the tactics or the ability of their opponents; they play their own brand of football; attack, attack and attack some more!

This thing of studying opponents and trying to respond to what they (the (opponents) would do is what kills football.

Spain don’t care about the strong points of their opponents; they go onto the field and impose themselves upon the opponent; they concentrate on their own strengths.

The opponent will have to adapt to their style of playing.

Against France in the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup, Spain showed the whole world that they didn’t give a damn whether Mbappe was s in the starting line up or not because no special attention was given to him.

Against Argentina those young Spanish boys are going to do the same to Messi; they will ignore him and play their own football.

Messi will have to adapt to the way those young Spanish boys play.

If it was Bafana Bafana playing against Argentina, coach Hugo Broos would have asked FIFA to allow him to play 13 players against Argentina for the purpose of marking Messi.

It is worth noting that Argentina made all those dramatic come-backs against Egypt, Switzerland and England after those teams resorted to defensive tactics after taking the lead.

Now against Spain, Argentina will face a 90 minute, relentless onslaught they have never seen before.

I am giving the game and the 2026 World Cup trophy to Spain.

Viva la Roja!
