The African National Congress Greater Tshwane Region is elated at the results of the by-elections in Ward 10,Mamelodi.

We welcome and appreciate the vote of confidence we received from the residents of Ward 10.

We congratulate Letsepaka Sekele, our Councillor-elect on this decisive
victory.

This victory is indicative of the support the ANC still enjoys among the people; support we do not take for granted.

The ANC Greater Tshwane Region is still on course to deliver on the promise of a better life for all.

The ANC has once again disproved disheveled prophets of doom and naysayers by sustaining its support in by -elections they thought would spell doom to the ANC.

These by-elections were a litmus test leading to the impending local government elections in 2026/27.

The ANC Greater Tshwane Region will embark on a program to intensify its electoral work to sustain and grow its electoral fortunes.

We appreciate the efforts of all ANC volunteers in the region, all Councillors, all the leagues including the MKLWV, all Provincial deployees, ANC Regional Task Team members and leaders of the mass democratic movement as a whole for working tirelessly, day and night, throughout the campaign period canvassing support for the ANC in the by-elections.

Meanwhile, the newly-elected Ward 10 Councillor Isaac Sekele said the following:

“I am so happy I don’t have words to express my happiness regarding my being elected as Ward 10 Councillor; I promise to serve my ward with passion and diligence; I am prepared to roll up my sleeves and dirty my hands for this ward and I will make sure that Ward 10 becomes corruption-free.”
