ActionSA councillor candidate ward 88
A councilor candidate for ActionSA in ward 88 Soshanguve and also SGB chairperson for a school named Pulamadibogo Primary school in block P, in an area famously known as Jukulyn. Jukulyn is known as a gangsters paradise, a no go zone and a crime infested area, a place where most think lawlessness is normal.
What most people don’t know is that there are GOOD things also happening in our place. Pulamadibogo primary is a full service school, meaning we have learners who have learning barriers.
Some of our leaners may not excell academically but believe you me when I tell you that in sports they do better than most people would expect.
We currently have learners who will be representing the school and province nationally.
That is something we really pride ourselves in and really do celebrate.
As the school we try our level best to make sure that such talent is natured.
On the other hand we have a guy called Karabo Mosima in our community.
This guy is one person I called a game changer, Karabo grew up in Jukulyn and growing up, he saw how eventually the future of our community disappeared slowly before his eyes.
He then took it upon himself that he will do all his best to make sure that the community’s safety was His number one priority.
He then started patrolling the neighborhood without payment or compensation of any sort, he then formed a part of security company called Ifalanga which started gaining recognition in the community and people started affiliating with Ifalanga.
Karabo/ Ifalanga then mergered with another security company called Mthiyane security company.
They have since taken over community safety, and now most residents sleep peacefully know that they are well protected by Mthiyane security company.
With that in order we have since realized a decline in crime activities, we are still a bit far from saying or declaring Jukulyn a crime free place but the results are showing.
Karabo also deals with troublesome kids in terms of discipline and continues to monitor their behavior extensively.
On another hand we have an elderly mother who has took it upon herself to make sure that kids who are substance abusers get the much needed help and some start a rehabilitation process with her.
We have a few who have fully recovered and have been clean for years…now that’s also another success story that needs to be applauded, because there are residents who took it upon themselves to better our community and be the change they want to see.
I am proud to have associated myself with game changers people who don’t just sit by and complain with coming up with solutions.
Slowly but surely Jukulyn will be a place we all proud of, a place where we all live in peace , harmony and most definitely safety.
