Firebrand March and March movement leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has given President Cyril Ramaphosa an ultimatum to address the South African nation before 30 June 2026 regarding her organisation’s demands related to the issue of illegal foreigners.
According to Ngobese-Zuma, failure by Ramaphosa to adhere to the demands listed by March and March will result in South Africans taking to the streets en masse to hunt down illegal foreigners with the aim of chucking them out of the country.
The apparently fearless Ngobese-Zuma delivered the ultimatum at a media briefing in KwaZulu Natal on Monday evening.
March and March movement started as a Facebook call in March last year for South Africans to march persistently in the streets of the country until illegal foreigners were deported out of the country.
The movement has now grown into a reputable and formidable force with a footprint in several provinces in South Africa.
Ngobese-Zuma said South Africans are not violent people or xenophobic, but that they have given the South African government enough time to address the issue of illegal foreigners and that their patience has ran out now due to the government’s inaction in this regard.
“This freedom has not brought us the land and opportunities that we desperately need; aspirations of our people are still a pipe dream,” enthused Ngobese-Zuma.
Now quoting World-acclaimed Catholic nun Mother Theresa, Ngobese-Zuma said the following:
“When a poor person dies of hunger, it is not because God didn’t take care of him or her; it is because neither you nor I gave that person what she or he needed.”
Ngobese-Zuma said ” our people want justice and they want it now.”
She said ” let us all rise together now to save our country and people from hunger and inequality.”
She expressed confidence that South Africa will be great again; that it just needs all its citizens to rise together and defeat the enemy.
“We must all rise and defend our heritage, God bless South Africa,” declared Ngobese-Zuma.
The following are the demands listed by Ngobese-Zuma to President Cyril Ramaphosa:
1. Stop processing refugee applications as well as granting refugee status to foreigners within 14 days from now.
2. Deport all illegal foreigners living in the country immediately and force them to pay for the costs of their deportation so as to discourage them from coming back to South Africa again.
3. Amend the law to allow Border Management Authority to operate inland as well because as they are the ones who grant people entry into the country, they can easily take those people out of the country when their time to be in the country has expired.
4. Transfer all immigration officers to the Border Management Authority and increase the number of immigration officers because the present 800 is a ridiculous number.
5. Urgently put all border police officers under the stewardship of the Border Management Authority so that it can be clear as to who calls the shots because at the moment the SANDF, the SAPS and the Border Management Authority officers don’t work together to prevent illegal entry into the country.
6. Set up a budget to erect a security fence so as to secure the country as a matter of absolute urgency.
7. Declare a state of emergency against illegal immigration as it is tantamount to the invasion of the country.
8. Institute legislation that will reserve the township economy to South African small businesses only.
