The City of Tshwane has successfully relocated 220 families from various informal settlements in Mamelodi to serviced stands in Pienaarspoort.
This marks a significant milestone in the City’s efforts to improve living conditions, enhance safety, and ensure sustainable access to basic services for affected communities.
The beneficiaries were relocated from the following areas:
25 families from Mavuso
25 families from Marikana
25 families from Seven 7
25 families from Willow Farm
25 families from Nkandla
25 families from Mamelodi EXT 11
6 families from Mamelodi EXT 17
39 families from Soul City
25 families from Alaska
This development enables the City to install and maintain bulk infrastructure more effectively while ensuring that relocated households benefit from safer, more stable, and dignified living environments.
The City remains committed to accelerating human settlement delivery and improving the quality of life for all residents.
