The TMPD in Mamelodi arrested two foreign nationals for tampering with essential infrastructure in Lindo Park.
The arrests took place earlier today, 28 August 2026, during a routine patrol when private security personnel alerted the TMPD about a group of African males digging out cables along Koedoespoort Road, East of Pretoria.
The TMPD regional policing members, along with private security, swiftly responded and arrested the suspects after a pursuit.
The Zimbabwean and Mozambican foreign nationals were found in possession of Transnet cables and shovels used in the commission of the offense.
The arrested suspects have been detained and will face charges for tampering with essential infrastructure.
The TMPD remains determined to ensure the safety and security of the Tshwane community through vigilant and visible policing.
