THREE ADDITIONAL SUSPECTS NABBED BY POLICE AFTER THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ASERIE NDLOVU AND ZODWA MDHLULI

In the early hours of this morning, around 01h00 am, the SAPS members from Crime Intelligence in Mpumalanga, Mpumalanga Provincial Tracking Team, and Mpumalanga Provincial Organised Crime Unit made a significant progress in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance and kidnapping of Mr. Aserie Ndlovu and Ms. Zodwa Precious Mdhluli.

Three additional suspects, aged between 23 and 43, were arrested at Nokaneng area in Kwamhlanga, bringing the total number of arrested suspects to eight (08).

The members were relentless since the mysterious disappearance of the two victims in February 2025 hence the Intelligence Driven Operation was carried out to uncover the truth surrounding this case.

In relation to this case, the Police team, consisting of members from Head Office, Gauteng and Mpumalanga made a grim discovery last week, uncovering two decomposed bodies in Kwamhlanga.

Forensic tests are currently underway to determine the identities of these remains, though the results are still pending.

The five suspects previously arrested have been in custody and already appeared in court as of last week.

The three arrested suspects today (13 May 2025) are expected to make their court appearance at the Kwamhlanga Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 14 May 2025 facing charges of kidnapping, hijacking and house robbery.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi, expressed confidence in the progress of the investigation thus far.

“This development represents a major breakthrough for the Police.

We are utilizing all available resources to uncover the truth behind what has transpired to the two victims.

We are encouraged by the team’s diligent efforts, which are yielding positive results.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the SAPS is committed to bringing all responsible parties to justice, ” said the General.
