THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM TO RECANT

The recent South African Constitutional Court’s (Concourt) ruling on extending asylum applications to illegal foreigners leaves a lot to be desired; it is beyond petrifying, to say the least.
It is more than heartbreaking, for it shows that this territory does not have hope.
What with ” learned friends” (of the Constitutional Court) who are showing that legal education has actually been wasted on them?
Exactly what would they do if they hear that the territory would soon be on fire as a result of their decision?
I think they will rush to a petrol-filling station for fuel and also to the veld to get wood so as to stoke the fire.
No one, least of all the Constitutional Court judges, can convince citizens that their ruling makes sense.
And the judges won’t convince other countries that their ruling is the best any educated judge can come up with.
A persuasive argument, based on the grounds of pure economics, is given by March and March leader Jacinta Nogbese- Zuma as follows:
“Where will the resources come from to fend for the extra mouths when citizens are already under such tremendous pressure?”
The Constitutional Court judges must answer this very question.
We can also ask as citizens, whether these judges considered the law of diminishing returns.
Another question which must be considered is that posed by Phakel’umthakathi as follows:
“How do the Concourt judges justify their decision when other illegal foreigners have already been repatriated and what makes this remaining group of illegal foreigners special to remain on the country illegally?”
The Concourt’s decision is the worst ruling ever taken in this territory yet.
It will be recorded as a matter of law that remains to endanger the lives of citizens of this territory.
If the Concourt cares for the people of this territory, it should not find it difficult to reverse its own ruling so as to avert the ruling’s unforseen consequences.
