The Soil of Africa Civic Movement is appalled by the City of Tshwane’s failure to address the sewage crisis in Ward 17 Phase 3, Mamelodi East.
Despite numerous reports, the municipality has left residents to suffer the consequences of raw sewage flowing into their homes, posing serious health risks to families and children.
The municipality’s Spokesperson recently claimed that overtime cuts would not impact service delivery.
However, the reality on the ground starkly contradicts this statement.
We demand immediate action to fix the sewage issues and hold the municipality accountable for its failures.
We will not stand idly by while our community suffers.
The municipality has 72 hours to respond and take meaningful action.
Failure to do so will result in further community mobilization and potential litigation.
