Kwaito artist Cannon Mnisi (38) known to his fans as Scanny from all the way to Limpopo, currently reside in Tshwane.

His music heals many hearts with his beautiful voice and a beautiful message.

He sings Kwaito music with the touch of everything in it.

His hit single titled sgubu esishisiwe is currently on high rotation and fans can’t get enough of it.

Cannon Mnisi known as Scanny told the Tshwane Talks that he started his music career at a tender age of 10 year acquainting him with piano skills in church which culminated in the release of his first gospel studio album titled ujesu ngiya, mbonga at the age of 16.

“My songs have messages for the people and it’s speak to the people and it heals them and bring people together,” Scanny said.

He’s endowed with natural proficiency pertaining to music. He has been a musician since inception.

His style of music is a blend of soulful house, kwaito and amapiano which is a sub-genre of kwaito, his lyrical content is mostly based on his day-to-day experiences.

His hit single titled sgubu esishisiwe is currently on high rotation on music channel followed by Sobabili which is a song meant to heal the hearts of many, who find themselves in toxic relationships and addresses the issue of gender-based violence the aim of this song is basically to mend hearts and bring couples back together.

Scanny took a few months hiatus which was just a way of recuperating and properly balancing his tight schedule of juggling music and his private life as an insurance broker.

He is back in studio now catching up with the new wave of amapiano and will soon be
releasing a single which will later be followed by an album.
