MMC responsible for Region 4

Significant progress was achieved across Region 4 over the past week through our ongoing Weekly Urban Management Programme.

A primary focus of our intervention was the restoration of public lighting, with teams successfully repairing and replacing 294 streetlights between 16 and 20 February 2026.

In addition to lighting, the City intensified its maintenance efforts by patching potholes and clearing multiple blocked stormwater drains.

These critical interventions spanned Wards 48, 77, and 106, as well as surrounding areas including The Reeds, Doringkloof, and Monavoni.

Further services, such as grass-cutting and tree pruning, were executed in:
• Lyttelton Manor
• Valhalla
• Zwartkop
• Laudium
• Heuweloord and other areas across the region.

The City is also pleased to inform residents that the intensified tree pruning operation was a success.

Our teams made significant strides in safely cutting, collecting, and clearing debris and green waste across various areas following the operation.

These efforts ensure our communities remain clean, functional, and safe.

The City of Tshwane remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding service delivery standards and ensuring a well-maintained environment for all residents.
