The executive members of Rama City in Ga- Rankuwa, Tshwane held a very special AGM meeting where they invited the residents.
The purpose of the AGM was to highlight and give update about the development of the place.
Residents of Rama City were also pampered with gift, food parcel, concert, clothes and opening of new skating rank where they will teach kids to skate.
They also hand over a house to wife of late military veterans’ member Sibongile Zulu with her 5 kids after her house was burned to the ground.
Residents and guests were offered lunch.
MH legacy foundation donated brand new clothes to 300 children across Tshwane and 200 food parcels to elderly members.
The event was held at Rama City entertainment Centre.
They were pampered by the Rama City committee led by Chairperson Mpho Thipe.
Amongst the guest were ward 31 councilor Tshepo Kgatle, Member of Parliament Kenny Motsamai, legendary gospel artist Solly Moholo, motivational speaker Mamike Falatsa, SANCO Obed Mongake, artist Mckenzie
Speaking to member of committee Jessica Letswalo told the Tshwane Talks that when Rama City was formed, we vow that we will be honest and transparency to the residents of Rama City.
We made a promised that we will never allow any corruption or an outsider to come and destroy our unity and peace in our land, the land that belong to our late ancestors.
We make sure every year in December we held special AGM meetings and update the residents about the development of the place and updated them about the financials status of the area.
“We are a very proud City and the first city in South Africa to claim the land and won it and benefitted from as beneficiaries,” Letswalo said.
She said in our special AGM meetings we hosted we also entertain the residents and make sure they are having fun.
We love our community, and we won’t deceive them. Next year we are planning many good things in our community, and we want youth to come on board and be involved.
Residents enjoy the performance of Solly Moholo, Mckenzie, Rama City Men’s league choir and our very own chairman share a stage Mpho Thipe.
“We will always call the special meetings and update our people and we will never hide anything from our beautiful community.
We are pleading with community of Rama City to stop listening to rumors in the street about their place and if they need clarity on anything our doors are always open anytime for them,” she said.
“I’m so happy that I got the food parcel this festive season and it will go a long way for me, and my family and it will last until I get my grants and I want to thank MH legacy foundation and Rama City executive,”gogo Nora Kau (80) said.
God Favour Ministry Hermina Badirwang said we are a ministry, and we take care of disadvantage children at our church.
The clothing came at the right time. Some children did not know what they going to wear but MH legacy foundation and Rama city came to the rescue.
“I’m so super happy and don’t have words to express my happiness and we are grateful that Rama city remembers us and we thank them so much and may God bless them,” Badirwang said.
Rama City development Ompie Aphane said we want to see progress in our community. In 2024 there is a program of installing g infrastructure. We want to see each house in Rama City have running water, electricity and sewage.
Member of Parliament Kenny Motsamai said Rama City is very strong and united community and there is lots of reconciliation here and people here have love of each other and help each other. Rama City will get services soon.
