POLICE ARE ON A LOOKOUT FOR THE SUSPECTS AFTER FIVE PEOPLE WERE SHOT AND KILLED INSIDE A TAVERN IN OLIEVEHOUTBOSCH

Police are on a lookout for approximately ten suspects after five people, two females and three males, were shot and killed and three others injured inside a tavern at Shoba Informal Settlement in Olievehoutbosch on Friday, 18 July 2025, at approximately 22h30.

It is reported that the suspects came to a tavern and started shooting randomly, without saying a word.

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.

The police have opened a case of murder and attempted murder for investigation.

Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation or assist in the apprehension of the suspects to please call the nearest police station or call crime stop on 08600 10111.
