The African Unite Borders Bus Trucks Association (AUBBTA) urgently calls on President Cyril Ramaphosa, Border Management Authority (BMA) and other law-enforcement entities to monitor and shut down all points of entry including border posts and airports to prevent human trafficking.
Criminal syndicates use these points of entry to take women out of the country and use them as sex slaves while in some instances they get killed and their body parts get sold.
Trafficked pregnant women get their babies taken from them forcefully upon giving birth and these babies are then sold to international criminal syndicates.
Poor leadership, high unemployment rate, and a captured judiciary all contribute to human-trafficking.
We would like to warn irresponsible politicians to refrain from encouraging free, unauthorised entry into South Africa.
Due to the porous borders, crime is now out of control and health care has collapsed.
It is time South African citizens decided whether they would be voting in the forthcoming elections because after being elected, politicians and political parties start looting taxpayers’ money.
We also support former Minister of International Relations Naledi Pandor when she says that while most South Africans have grievances, there is no leadership to bring about solutions to the said grievances.
It is concerning that South Africa is under siege now with women being slaughtered on a daily basis under the Government of National Unity (GNU).
All South African media influencers must be investigated and arrested for promoting human- trafficking of South African citizens within the SADEC region.
We would like to advise President Cyril Ramaphosa to try other alternatives like declaring a countrywide state of emergency to save the country from the chaos that it finds itself in at the moment.
The said chaos is caused by the porous borders which allow undocumented foreigners to come into the country and take jobs from South Africans, commit crimes with impunity and collapse the health system.
