Peter Sithole of McLean Trading and Projects on top of what he knows best: tent manufacturing

Now he builds shelter for every milestone.
Peter Sithole leads McLean Trading and Projects, a name that for up to two decades has been pitching tents for weddings, funerals, birthdays and big government events across the country.
Peter’s journey began as a qualified welder.

In 2009, he added tent manufacturing to his skillset and, with the support of his aunt, launched McLean Trading and Projects.
He hasn’t looked back since. Today, the team based in Block AA, Soshanguve, works tirelessly to create eye-catching marquees, gazebos, canopies, inflatables, frame tents, and stretch tents that make events unforgettable.
More than a manufacturer, Peter is a community builder.
His passion is contagious, and he is eager to partner with local businesses to drive growth and reduce unemployment.
“Partnering with business communities will also help reduce the high rate of unemployment and substance abuse among youth,” he says.
The skilled tent maker has trained many young people over the years, and several of them now run their own businesses.
When the tent goes up, opportunity rises with it.
