MAYORAL EXECUTIVE CONGRATULATES 2024 MATRICULANTS FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
IN NATIONAL SENIOR CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS
Cllr Nasiphi Moya
Executive Mayor of Tshwane
The mayoral executive congratulates Tshwane matriculants who sat for the 2024 National Senior Certificate examinations.
Tshwane schools performed well with several schools in the Tshwane South District reporting consecutive 100% pass rates as tracked for a period of five years, from 2020 to 2024.
The breakdown of our city’s matrics’ performance is as follows:
• Tshwane North: 90%
• Tshwane West: 88,9%
• Tshwane South: 91,7%
• Gauteng North (including areas under Region 7): 89%
These results are commendable. The mayoral executive believes the performance reflects the City’s ethos of “igniting excellence”.
The act of sitting for a school exit examination is not easy and we acknowledge the various challenges that our children face daily that often impede their ability to perform in school.
We wish the Class of 2024 the best for the future as they begin the journey of furthering their education or
choosing other career paths.
To the matriculants who did not pass, and those who are not happy with their performance, we wish you the best as you use 2025 as another chance to get it right.
Halala Class of 2024!
