Tshwane Talks readers and leaders of organisations in Tshwane and surrounding areas have sent their messages to this publication as the year 2025 comes to an end.
The year had several milestones which included the establishment of the National Convention / People’s Dialogue which apparently resembles a stillborn as it failed to get off the ground and allow South Africans to express their views to those ruling this country.
Revelations of criminal activities in the police, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police, the judiciary and the prisons literally opened they eyes of South Africans to the fact that we are in “State Capture 2,” following “State Capture 1” which involved looting mainly at Eskom and several government departments.
The Madlanga Commission and the Parliamentary ad-hoc committee are also a welcome phenomenon though in most cases they are a replica of each other and tend to render each other as unnecessary surplus.
The killing of revellers at taverns and the continued refusal to shut down the country’s borders are unfortunate scenarios indeed.
The following are video and written messages sent to Tshwane Talks by the aforesaid readers and leaders:
1. MELVIS QEKEMA- AZAPO PRESIDENT:
With the 2026 local government elections around the corner, the people must use their electoral muscle to unleash a popular response to the apparent loss of state power to criminal syndicates and drug cartels.
By the 2029 general elections the people must reclaim their power, and completely reverse the betrayal of the aspirations of the liberation struggle.
2. PHATHIWE NDLELENI- COMMUNITY ACTVIST:
Nowadays it is difficult to celebrate Christmas because our country has turned into a place where people care only about themselves and their families and many people sleep on empty stomachs; not knowing where their next meal will come from.
It is unfortunate because all this suffering is man-made and we can’t afford seeing our country going down the drain and my appeal is that those living in areas where people don’t have food must reach out to such people and lend a helping hand.
3.TEBOGO MASHILOMPANE- FORUM FOR SOUTH AFRICA NATIONAL LEADER: As we celebrate this festive season we reflect upon a year filled with challenges which have in most cases have been met with resilience and an unwavering commitment to justice, accountability and the protection of our people.
Let us continue together to build a country where justice is not selective but where the dignity of every citizen is protected.

4. HLOHI MALEMA- COMMUNITY ACTVIST: The true essence of this festive season is found in supporting one another through acts of kindness like a shared meal or a listening ear.
Corruption, poor management of state resources, unemployment, poverty, crime, uncontrolled illegal foreigners, political leaders serving self interests, captured judiciary and law-enforcement agencies are some of the debelitating issues facing us as a country.
This calls for the black majority South Africans to think clearly and vote for parties that advocate the return of the land to its rightful owners(Blacks), getting rid of illegal foreigners and not pay lip service to youth empowerment.
People must vote for a party that’s not tainted with corruption and greed like the ANC is.
