Earlier today, the City of Tshwane conducted a by-law enforcement operation in Mamelodi, during which illegally erected structures were removed as part of the City’s 14-day *#ReASpana* programme focusing on Mamelodi in particular.

The structures had been erected on municipal land without the required City approval, and the traders operating from them were not registered or authorised to trade.

Many of these structures also obstruct pavements and pedestrian walkways, making it difficult for residents to move safely through the area.

Our By-Law Enforcement teams remain on the ground as part of ongoing efforts to restore order and enforce municipal by-laws across the city.
