There is a new kid on the block in the South African media industry. The new kid comes in the form of an online newspaper that will create a platform for all residents of Tshwane to talk to one another instead of talking past one another. The newspaper will embrace all aspects of life in Tshwane.
This as a way of letting readers see themselves and their neighbors from other areas in the newspaper.
The online publication aims to serve as a bridge that will be join all the people of Tshwane together irrespective of language, gender, creed, religion and political affiliation.
The online publication belongs to all residents of Tshwane irrespective of whether they are rich or poor, black or white, coloured or Indian.
Whatever happens in Tshwane and is newsworthy will be reported upon in this online publication.
All political parties will have their stories published without fear or favour. For example, we shall report about the EFF, PAC, Azapo, ANC and ActionSA, as much as we would report about Freedom Front, DA and TTA.
No parties will be barred from this publication, be they big or small, famous or relatively unknown.
Human interest stories from the townships and squatter camps in Tshwane shall be afforded equal space to stories from the suburbs and town houses.
The online news publication will carry political, cultural, religious, educational and social stories across the length and breadth of Tshwane.
It is our belief that if one side of the city knows what the other side of the city is thinking, doing or saying then that would be conducive to social cohesion in the City.
The name of the new kid on the block is “Tshwane Talks” and it goes by the slogan “Let’s talk.”.
