Thuthukani civic movement join by Operation Dudula civic movement march to the Union Buildings Pretoria to hand over a memorandum of grievances to the office of the presidency on Thursday.
The civic movement wants government to suspend 2024 elections until challenges faced by citizens, especially the poor, are resolved.
They started to march from Church Square to Union Buildings holding placards and singing revolutionary songs.
The civic movement is calling for a mass deportation of illegal immigrants in South Africa before going to the polls and vote.
They cry foul that illegal immigrants benefit from job opportunities in the country whilst South Africans bear the brunt of high unemployment.
They also demand that foreign nationals only be allowed to open businesses in the country if they invest a minimum of R5 million.
They hand over a memorandum to Shonisani Mudau from the office of the presidency.
Director and founder of the Thuthukani Movement Zwelethu Nkalitshana told the Tshwane Talks that the march was directed to IEC head office to stop the election 2024 national election due to lot of reason the IEC told us to go straight to office of the presidency.
We want the state presidents to stop the election because we are suffering as South African. We were fooled with empty promises for more than two decades.
We complained about illegal immigrants that occupied our jobs, and they do all sort of crime killing of South African citizens including white farmers, robberies, car theft, drugs, human trafficking, selling of body parts but nothing is done.
“We are enough and that’s why we don’t see any need to vote in the next year election.
We cry foul that illegal immigrants benefit from job opportunities in the country whilst South Africans bear the brunt of high unemployment,” Nkalitshana.
He said we are also calling for a mass deportation of illegal immigrants. We are led by pensioners including our state presidents who still contesting 2024 national election.
IEC must amend their requirement by not allowing pensioners or anyone from foreign countries by origins to come and contest any IEC. We want all the pensioners to retired and hand over the reign to the youth.
“We want South African government to clean the nation and put South Africa citizens first for once,” he said.
Nkalitshana said we got the right to challenge election no matter its local or national up until our grievances as citizens and voters of this country with no names are heard.
We will really appreciate if our grievances are considered starting from state presidents who is also a pensioner to lead by example by stepping down and hand over the reign to the youth that is a future of this country with no name.
“We promised if the government failure to stop next year’s general elections this may lead the country to a civil war,” he said.
Operation Dudula civic movement member Flora Nkuna said this march is very important and we want the illegal immigrants to go back to their country before the election.
Our kids are not working because foreigners want small money and our kids are sitting at home with degrees and certificate not working.
“If the foreigners are not going back home next year there will be no election next year in this country,” Nkuna said.
