GOOD is proud to be part of the drive to accelerate economic growth in South Africa’s capital city.

In today’s Tshwane State of the City Address, Executive Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya reaffirmed the metro’s commitment to bold economic progress. Central to this is the newly adopted Tshwane Economic Revitalisation Strategy 2025–2029, tabled last week by the Economic Development and Spatial Planning Department and approved by Council.

The strategy outlines key objectives, priority sectors, and high-impact projects that aim to unlock substantial economic potential.

It is projected to attract tens of billions in new investment, increase Tshwane’s growth rate by more than 3%, and create 80,000 new jobs by 2029.

Inclusive economic growth and job creation remain urgent priorities for every municipality in South Africa. With far too many people – especially youth – unable to find work, bold action is needed.

Government must create an enabling environment for growth.

This includes investing in essential infrastructure like reliable roads, water, and electricity in strategic areas and improving the ease of doing business for both small and large enterprises.

These are critical steps to building a thriving, job-rich economy.

The Tshwane State of the City Address reflects a growing commitment from the multi-party coalition to move the metro forward – and GOOD is proud to be contributing to this momentum.
