African Unite Borders Bus Tracks Association (AUBBTA) is calling for the immediate resignation of Minister Gayton McKenzie over his racial insults on liberation fighters such as our hero Nelson Mandela, Hector Pieterson as well as on the rainbow nation flag of South Africa and its people.

McKenzie’s remarks are divisive among the rainbow nation; namely Blacks,Coloureds, Indians and Whites of South Africa as they (the remarks) return the country back to the 1976 apartheid era.

These remarks are, in particular, a disgrace to President Cyril Ramaphosa who negotiated our freedom from apartheid but now finds himself in a coalition government which includes the Patriotic Alliance under the leadership of McKenzie.

On several occasions we have witnessed McKenzie singing the song “Abahambe” instead of engaging SADC countries like Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi through their embassies in South Africa regarding the issue of illegal migration.

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) must screen criminal records and social media remarks of all founders of political parties to avoid endorsing people like McKenzie as election party candidates.

We recommend that there must be education in political history and service delivery which all founders of political parties and Ministers must be subjected to.

Lastly, we are calling for unity among all races in South Africa and for voters to refrain from electing political scammers and tribalists because their parties are nothing but political stokvels.

Failure by President Ramaphosa to fire Minister McKenzie must result in him (Ramaphosa) resigning so as to avoid divisions among the races of South Africa.
