ARMCHAIR CRITIC: NOW THAT BAFANA HAVE BEEN DOCKED THREE POINTS…

Now that Bafana Bafana have been docked three points by FIFA for erroneously fielding Tebogo Mokoena in their game against Lesotho, they must show all all and sundry that they are made of the proverbial sterner stuff.

They must go out there and play their hearts out in order to win the two remaining games against minnows Zimbabwe and no-hopers Rwanda so as to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.

These two countries – Zimbabwe and Rwanda – have no chance in hell whatsoever to qualify for the global soccer tournament, but they are obviously on a mission to make sure that Bafana Bafana also don’t get to qualify.

They are like a dull student who, realising that he has no chance of passing an exam, resorts to sabotaging a straight A student from succeeding in his exams.

These teams don’t want to be the only ones regarded as “football dunderheads;” they want Bafana Bafana to also be mentioned alongside them in this regard.

Some football fans opine that we are going to qualify easily even when the said points have been taken away from us, but I have misgivings because I think Nigeria won’t play to its fullest strength against Benin and will therefore hand three points to Benin on a silver platter and therefore jeopardise Bafana Bafana’s chances of qualifying for the prestigious World Cup soccer tournament.

Another misgiving that I have about Bafana Bafana’s chances of qualifying is that our boys were not convincing in the game that they recently drew against Nigeria at home in South Africa.

That is a game which Bafana should have won to show that they are World Cup-material.

Now the two remaining games against Zimbabwe and Rwanda are going to be played under the pressure of having to win at all costs by our boys.

And Bafana must score an avalanche of goals so as to surpass Benin who at the moment are at the top of the group standings due to a better goal difference.

Bafana Bafana must play like their lives depend on it as this is a litmus test of their character as players who can rise to the occasion when the chips are down and bring to fruition the hopes and aspirations of their nation when failure is imminent.

Now the person who is responsible for checking the eligibility and ineligibility of players is team manager Vincent Tseka who must be given the sack for failing Bafana in particular and South Africans in general.

He failed to inform the player, the coach and the powers that be at SAFA about the fact that Tebogo Mokoena was not supposed to be fielded in the ill-fated game against Lesotho in March this year in Bloemfontein.

This Tseka guy is apparently recalcitrant and in 2022 he dared SAFA to fire him while in the process threatening that he would reveal “scandals” at SAFA.

SAFA didn’t fire him, and this leads to suspicions that there are indeed scandals at SAFA.

Now my concern is that this Tseka fellow knows about wrong-doing at SAFA but has failed to report such wrong- doing to the relevant authorities, but would rather use the alleged scandals to blackmail SAFA.

If this Tseka was a true patriot, he would have revealed the “scandals” a long time ago but he has instead chosen to use the “scandals” for his own benefit and doesn’t care one iota about the well-being of South African soccer.

And this uncaring attitude has been demonstrated by his refusal to book training venues for Bafana in preparation for their friendly games against Botswana and Sierra Leone.

This guy is an enemy of all football-loving people of South Africa.

In another time, in another world, Mr Tseka would get a burning rubber substance placed around his neck for his behaviour.

And this wayward man thinks his threats to SAFA make him a good person, but I opine that he is commiting a crime by failing to disclose acts of corruption or maladministration at SAFA to the police.

This Tseka guy is an unscrupulous character who is actually plotting the demise of South African football from within the ranks of SAFA.

This guy is angry for whatever reason and what he is doing now is to kill our beloved game.

It has now become clear that after Mokoena received his second yellow card during the qualifying games, this maverick Tseka chap deliberately failed to write this in the match report that he submitted to SAFA.

Failure to include the Mokoena yellow card matter in his match report means he has submitted a false or incomplete report, and in either case he deserves to be sacked for gross misconduct, sabotage, negligence and treason.
