The South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO) in Tshwane has observed with disgust and anger the continuous undermining of the Alliance by the ANC in Tshwane.

The ANC in Tshwane is taking unilateral and factional decisions without convening the
Alliance Political Council.

We rubbish in the strongest terms what they have done by replacing Cde Frans Boshielo with the ANC Deputy Secretary Cde Sam Mashola without taking the Alliance into confidence.

This is not Alliance practice, it is factional arrogance of the worst order. Deployments cannot be swapped in dark corners without Alliance partners.

ON THE COUNCILLOR CANDIDATES LIST

SANCO was furthermore not taken into confidence on the list of Councillor candidates, which is unacceptable and undermines the spirit of the Alliance.

The ANC in Tshwane has finalized lists without ever consulting SANCO.

This shows clearly that the ANC does not respect or take the Alliance serious.

You cannot claim to value the Alliance during the day and undermine it at night.

The list process is a critical Alliance process, not an ANC factional tool to reward friends.

The list of Councillor candidates, and now key deployments are being swapped.

How do you expect SANCO to mobilize communities for a list we have never seen and were never consulted on? You cannot destroy the alliance and expect SANCO to campaign under its burner.

The ANC cannot destroy the integrity of the alliance and expect SANCO to remain
silent.

The alliance was built on mutual respect, collective leadership and consultation.

Taking decisions alone without alliance political council destroys the honesty and trustof that leadership.

ON CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS:

In the spirit of the ANC ‘s own step-aside resolution, ANC members with corruption
allegations hanging around over their heads must step aside and protect the integrity
of Municipality.

The Executive Mayor Cllr Dr Nasiphi Moya and her counterpart with black cloud of corruption allegations must do the honourable thing and step down until their names are cleared.

Tshwane cannot be led by leaders who are clouded by allegations.

SANCO will not be a rubber stamp for decisions taken without us.

We call for the urgent convening of the Alliance Political Council to restore order and to nullify all unilateral decisions taken without the Alliance.

Enough is enough!
