ActionSA categorically rejects the baseless claims from the objectively failed Mayor, who falsely attempts to shift the blame for the recent power outages onto budget cuts in the City of Tshwane.
The DA’s distortions are not only inaccurate but also fail to acknowledge the proactive measures being implemented to ensure the reliability of our energy and electricity services.
The City of Tshwane, under the leadership of the multiparty coalition, is fully committed to the Council-approved Energy Turnaround Strategy.
This comprehensive framework is designed to tackle energy challenges effectively, with the administration dedicated to restoring stability and efficiency to the power supply across the city.
The Multi-party Coalition recognises the difficulties inherited from the failed previous administration led by Cilliers Brink. However, under Dr. Nasiphi Moya’s leadership, the new administration is committed to rectifying the situation and prioritising reliable energy supply.
Internal teams are currently focused on daily operations to service substations, working around the clock to stabilise the energy supply and improve service delivery in the capital city.
ActionSA stresses that the hard work of the city’s dedicated teams is key to ensuring a reliable electricity supply.
We urge the DA and its opposition partners to join in constructive engagement, rather than lighting up misinformation that undermines the progress being made by the new administration.
ActionSA remains committed to working tirelessly for the people of Tshwane and will continue to advocate for a reliable and efficient energy system that meets the needs of our residents
