A LETTER TO PATRIOTS
By Mr MT Dladla
National Chairperson: Reclaim South Africa Civic Organisation
Dear Patriots
We stand on the brink of another Reconciliation Day, let us not be deceived by the hollow narrative that seeks to paint our nation as healed. This day, meant to symbolize unity, instead serves as a grim reminder of the deep-rooted scars that Colonialism of a Special Type has left upon our people.
The rhetoric of reconciliation rings empty when the reality is that our native brothers and sisters endure the relentless grip of poverty and exclusion in a land abundant in resources.
Chris Hani taught us that “We must ensure that the poor are not left behind.”
As we are a few days left to enter 2025, the widening chasm between the wealthy elite and the marginalized is not just a statistic; it is a crushing reality that suffocates the lives of our people.
The rich fortify their enclaves, erecting walls to shield themselves from the suffering that surrounds them. The legacy of apartheid has morphed, creating a new era of economic oppression where our native population continues to be systematically sidelined from the bounty of our land.
We must confront the uncomfortable truth that our native people are used as mere pawns in the ongoing class struggle.
Daily, we witness how illegal immigrants occupy spaces that should be designated for our communities, further displacing our natives from opportunities that are rightly theirs.
These injustices are not isolated incidents; they are a calculated strategy to maintain a status quo that keeps our people from accessing the wealth that belongs to them.
The rise of criminal syndicates engaged in illegal mining and an illicit economy further complicates this already dire situation. These syndicates plunder our resources, inviting outsiders to exploit our riches while our native communities are left impoverished, watching as their birthright is stripped away.
This is not just a betrayal; it is a robbery of our future, our dignity, and our identity. We must awaken to the reality that true equity and justice will not be handed to us on a silver platter.
It is our duty to Reclaim South Africa —not through the empty promises of political parties that have consistently failed us, but through the powerful unity of our people.
We must rise as one, demanding accountability from those who exploit and
benefit from our suffering, ensuring that the wealth of our nation returns to its rightful owners: the natives of South Africa.
Unity is our greatest strength, and we must not let politics divide us. We have allowed ourselves to be fractured, forgetting that it is civic movements that remind us of our shared identity as South Africans.
Patriotism transcends political affiliation and religious beliefs; it is the love for South Africa and for each other that binds us. This is why Reclaim South Africa Civic Organisation stands as the sole vehicle for social
transformation, welcoming all who seek justice, regardless of their political standing.
As we prepare for the fight ahead, let us heed Chris Hani’s wisdom: “If you want peace then you must struggle for social justice.”
We must rally our communities, confront the injustices that plague our society, and demand access to the opportunities, land, and resources that have been denied to us for far too long.
The struggle for justice is not merely an economic battle; it is a fight for our dignity, our identity, and our future. We cannot allow the actions of a few to dictate the fate of the many.
It is time to Reclaim our narrative and our rightful place in this country.
We must dismantle the barriers that perpetuate poverty and despair. Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to build a South Africa that is equitable and just for all—a nation where our native people can thrive, their voices resonate, and their contributions are celebrated.
Together, we can forge a new path, honouring our past while striving for a future where every native enjoys the fruits of our land. In closing, remember that our strength lies in our unity. We will not be silenced; we will not be marginalized.
Together, we will Reclaim South Africa, ensuring it serves the interests of all its people. Those who perpetuate the cycle of exploitation must be brought to justice, and we will not rest until our voices are heard and our rights restored. In solidarity and strength,
