As the President of NotInMyName International, I address you today with a profound sense of urgency and purpose.

On the 4th of November, we face a pivotal moment in our democratic journey.

Local government elections are upon us.

These are not just any elections; they are the closest point of contact between the people and the power that governs their daily lives.

This is where the rubber meets the road.

We are an organization built on the principles of activism and the relentless pursuit of justice.

For us, democracy is not a spectator sport.

It is not something we observe from the sidelines while others make decisions about our future.

It is a living, breathing responsibility that requires our active participation.

I am calling on every single one of our 28,000 members, and every supporter who believes in our cause, to go out in your numbers on November 4th.

Exercise your constitutional right.

The right to vote was not given to us freely; it was hard-won through the blood, sweat, and tears of those who came before us. To abstain from voting is to dishonor their sacrifice.

Embrace your democratic responsibility.

We cannot demand accountability from our leaders if we do not hold them accountable at the ballot box.

We cannot complain about the state of our municipalities if we do not play our part in shaping them.

Voting is the foundation of our social contract.

This is where we instill a sense of activism and democratic responsibility in our people.

We must lead by example.

We must show that the power to change our communities lies firmly in our hands.

Therefore, let us march to the polls with the same energy and conviction that we bring to our protests and our community work.

Vote! Vote for the party of your choice.

Your vote is your voice. Use it to build the future you want to see.
