MK Party volunteers at the Cadres’ Assembly held at Ditsong Museum in Tshwane on Saturday
MK Party Gauteng Provincial Spokesperson Abel Tau opines that the present City of Tshwane (CoT) Municipality government is full of social media antics and gimmicks.
Tau said this at the end of the party’s Greater Tshwane cadres’ assembly at Ditsong Museum in Tshwane on Saturday
“Representatives from all seven regions of MK Party in Tshwane were present at the assembly and this was an assembly of activists and volunteers of the party as we gear up for the 2026 Municipal government elections,” he said.
“We believe that residents of Tshwane have not had a government that is for them and I must say our volunteers have reaffirmed their commitment to work hard to reach all communities that have been neglected, especially township communities,” explained Tau.
He revealed that people of Hammanskraal continue to have water that they can’t consume from their taps, that potholes are prevalent all over the City of Tshwane and that constant electricity blackouts in areas like Soshanguve, Olivenhoutbosch and Mamelodi stay for many days without electricity.
“This government continues to serve only white people and the elites in the City of Tshwane and we believe that their interests are not in line with making the lives of ordinary people in Tshwane better,” said Tau.
“As we intensify and increase our visibility and campaigns in the build-up to the local government elections this year, we are calling upon the people of Tshwane to stand ready to support Umkhonyo We Sizwe Party and rally behind a true, credible revolutionary force that can finally deliver the kind of services that they have long been denied and deprived of,” said Tau emphatically.
