Deputy Executive Mayor of Tshwane and
MMC responsible for Region 6
The City of Tshwane is intensifying its urban management programme across
several wards to ensure that communities enjoy well-maintained, clean, and safe
public spaces.
Between 25 and 29 August 2025, a series of targeted service delivery interventions are being rolled out in Region 6 and surrounding areas, with a strong focus on enhancing infrastructure, preserving the natural environment, and improving overall
quality of life for residents.
In Mamelodi Wards 18 and 23, as well as Pretorius Park Ward 101, grass cutting is underway to restore public areas to a neat and accessible condition.
Alongside this, tree pruning operations are being carried out in Mamelodi Wards 18 and 23, as well as in Equestria Ward 85, to improve safety, visibility and the aesthetic appeal of neighbourhoods.
Road infrastructure maintenance remains a key priority for the City, with pothole repairs taking place in Mamelodi Wards 18 and 23, East Lynne Ward 52, Equestria Ward 85, and Silverton Ward 41.
Stormwater infrastructure maintenance is receiving attention in Mamelodi Wards 18
and 23, East Lynne Ward 52, and Moreleta Park Ward 91.
These interventions are crucial in mitigating flooding risks, improving drainage efficiency, and preserving road conditions.
As part of the Re A Spana service delivery drive, teams will also be active in Ward 86, covering Denlyn, Samcor Park, and the Ford Industrial Zone.
This initiative helps to enforce by-laws, strengthens partnerships with
residents, businesses, and stakeholders to ensure collective responsibility in keeping communities functional, law abiding, safe, and thriving.
Through these combined efforts, the City reaffirms its commitment to effective, timely responsive service delivery and the continuous improvement of living environments across Tshwane.
All residents are encouraged to actively support these initiatives by reporting service delivery needs.
Let us work hand-in-hand to build sustainable and well-maintained neighbourhoods.
