The MMC for Corporate and Shared Services, Cllr Kholofelo Morodi is proud to announce the successful fulfilment of a commitment made to students of Seshegong Secondary School and Steve Tshwete High School during the Youth To Gemba event held weeks ago.
Today, the MMC personally handed over 45 laptops to these deserving students, marking a significant step in empowering our youth and bridging the digital divide.
This donation underscores our unwavering dedication to ensuring that every student has access to the tools necessary for success in the digital age.
The digital divide remains a critical barrier to equal opportunity, limiting access to education, skills development, and economic participation for many young people in our communities.

By providing these laptops, we aim to level the playing field, equipping students with the technology needed to excel academically, explore new opportunities, and compete in an increasingly digital world.
During the Youth To Gemba event, the MMC pledged to support the students of
Seshegong Secondary School and Steve Tshwete High Schools by providing
resources to enhance their learning experience.
Today’s delivery of 45 laptops is a
tangible demonstration of that promise, reflecting our commitment to fostering an inclusive, technology-driven future for all.
These laptops will enable students to
engage in online learning, develop digital skills, and access resources that will prepare them for the demands of the 21st-century workforce.
The MMC expressed her joy at witnessing the students’ enthusiasm, stating,
“Investing in our youth is investing in the future of our nation.
These laptops are more than devices; they are gateways to knowledge, opportunity, and empowerment.
By bridging the digital divide, we are ensuring that no student is left behind in the pursuit of their dreams.”
The Office of the MMC remains committed to initiatives that promote educational equity and technological access.
We will continue to work tirelessly to close the digital divide, ensuring that
every young person in our community has the tools and opportunities to thrive.
