Reckless drivers and their cohorts are making passengers human sacrifices each year during Easter holidays.
The cohorts I am referring to here are traffic cops and police officers who are hell-bent on taking a bribe from a reckless drunk driver and let them drive on instead of taking them to the nearest cop shop where they should rightfully spend the rest of the Easter holidays surrounded by bandits, murderers, extortionists, sexual predators and psychopaths.
And in the rare occasion that a law-enforcing traffic cop takes these reckless drunk drivers to jail, there will always be police officers or prison warders who are sycophants and ready to act as middlemen to quickly arrange a lawyer who will obtain instant bail for these reckless drunk drivers.
For these sycophants, this is a way of making a quick buck and endearing themselves in the hearts and minds of the reckless drunk drivers.
My foot, a reckless drunk driver is a potential murderer, finish en klaar, and allowing them to drive on to their destinations is like being complicit to murder.
And going out of one’s way to help them get quick bail is tantamount to being an accomplice to murder.
The point that I am trying to make here is that it is the police and the traffic cops and the prison warders who are directly responsible for the high number of casualties on the roads during Easter time and other holidays in our country.
This is why I am of the opinion that police officers, traffic cops and prison warders must always be forced to wear body cameras so that everybody must see what they are doing when on duty.
To hell with the notion that this would be an invasion of their privacy!
They are not on private duty but are on public duty serving the interests of the public and are being paid by the public!
As members of the public we desperately want to hear and see on camera a traffic cop asking for a bribe from a motorist; we desperately want to see an SAPS officer taking money from a criminal instead of arresting the said criminal and we want to see a prison warder helping a criminal to escape from jail.
Any of the aforesaid officers found not to be wearing their body cameras must be dismissed instantly.
It is widely believed that the aforesaid officers no longer remember their ATM bank card numbers/ pins because they no longer go to ATMs, but collect bribery money in the streets and buy groceries for their families with the said bribery money.
As this is Easter time, my message to all traffic cops, SAPS cops and prison warders is as follows:
Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for the sake of us all during Easter time many years ago, there is no need for you guys to make us human sacrifices via road accidents in this modern age.
