The 2024 general elections in South Africa have been hailed as the ones that have produced the highest ever voter turnout in the country’s election history.
For obvious reasons politicians joined the voting brigade to cast their votes at various voting stations in Gauteng and Tshwane in particular.
Here is how they expressed their feelings after voting on 29 May.

I feel super-excited to have cast my vote as this is a historical election for South Africa.
It won’t just determine the future of national and provincial government, but it will have big implications for the City of Tshwane.

Remember, we operate within the laws and policies determined at other spheres of government like the provincial and national government.
Don’t let the long queues dissuade you from voting, this as it is the folks in the queue who can help steer the country, the province and ultimately our City in the right direction.
