Speaking to marketing manager of Mamelodi all white picnic event Lerato Lira Mogashoa told the Tshwane Talks that we are a 100% black-owned event management company located in Mamelodi. Our event is popularly known for the Mamelodi All White Picnic.
The events started in December 2014 after we saw a gap and that there was no event in Mamelodi on the 26.
Our aim is to introduce and maintain opinion lifestyle by organizing themed events with different activities, creating lasting experience by simply bringing friends, families, associates and acquaintances together under the atmosphere of fun, artist, food and music.
“The event has grown and its gaining popularity every year and people come here to connect, to have fun and enjoy,” Mogashoa said.
She said the event is also driven to boost township economy as we have an influx of over 10 000 of attendees from various parts of the country to support local businesses that will be showcasing their products and services on the day.
The 26th of December known as Boxing Day, merely dedicated towards celebrating the collaboration of our spirit of Ubuntu in our country, we have taken this opportunity to create milestone experiences in the Tshwane calendar of events.
“The goal of the Mamelodi All White Picnic is to have an event where people can come together with their friends and loved ones in the scenery of a picnic, from romantic couples, group of friends who enjoy socialising, meeting new people and those looking forward to reuniting with people they love,” she said.
Mogashoa added that on the Mamelodi All White Picnic event people look forward to packing their picnic baskets, blankets, and camp chairs; dressing up to the All-White theme, with an option to bring their own Cooler boxers or purchase alcohol beverages and food in the stalls designated for the day or optionally be hosted in the VIP Marquees.
