DESPERATE SLANDER WILL NOT DISTRACT TSHWANE FROM REAL SERVICE DELIVERY

The recent wave of unfounded attacks on Executive Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya over
alleged upgrades to her private residence reveals nothing more than the desperation of political opponents who have run out of credible ideas.

At the centre of this manufactured controversy stands ANC figure Kgosi Maepa, whose loud accusations appear less concerned with truth and more with a frantic attempt to regain relevance among ANC top brass who discarded him long ago after serious allegations of gender-based violence.

Dr Moya has already addressed these claims clearly in media statements.

The upgrades to her private home were paid for entirely from her own pocket.

No public funds intended for service delivery were used.

The company that carried out the work is
not contracted to the City of Tshwane.

These are straightforward facts, not complicated defences.

Yet the allegations continue, driven by social-media gossip and what increasingly looks like AI-generated “evidence.”

If Kgosi Maepa or any other opposition voice ,particularly those within the ANC ,genuinely possess proof of wrongdoing, they must present it.

Hard evidence. Documents. Bank records. Contracts. Not screenshots, not innuendo,
and not recycled online noise.

The Executive Mayor has no obligation to assist those making the claims.

Those who insist they have a solid case should simply produce the facts.

Until they do, their statements remain empty political theatre.

Rather than wasting energy on propaganda that trades on Dr Moya’s name, opposition
parties would do better to focus on their own election campaigns.

If they have tangible achievements or genuine policy alternatives to offer the people of Tshwane, let them campaign on those.

There is no need to tarnish the reputation of a mayor who continues to work on the ground, engaging residents and prioritising service delivery despite the hostility of so-called coalition partners.

The majority of Tshwane residents have made their views plain , they support ActionSA
and the leadership of Dr Nasiphi Moya.

That popularity is a bitter pill for the ANC and EFF to swallow.

Jealousy, however, is not a substitute for competence.

While some prefer to trade in personal attacks, the Executive Mayor remains focused on the daily work of serving the people of this city.

Tshwane deserves better than recycled scandal and desperate name-calling.

Those who claim to care about governance should either produce real evidence or return to the hard, unglamorous business of politics , campaigning on ideas, not character assassination.
