CITY OF TSHWANE ENDORSES THE BIGG PULL 2026, CALLS ON RESIDENTS TO SUPPORT CHARITY INITIATIVE

The City of Tshwane has fully endorsed The Bigg Pull 2026, and we ask residents to
support the charity and community initiative that is organised by Gentle Giant Promotions.

The Bigg Pull challenges 20 strength athletes, known as the Power Team, to haul a truck for 1 650 km from Pretoria to Cape Town over a period of 41 days.

The initiative is aimed at raising much-needed funds for various charity organisations.

The media launch held on Friday unveiled a diverse Power Team of participants, male
and female, who have committed their might and strength for a worthy cause.

Each Power Team member will wear a logo with a symbol that represents one of the
19 chosen charity organisations.

These charities help society’s most vulnerable members, such as abandoned children, blind citizens, intellectually disabled citizens, abandoned animals, burn victims and disaster relief food distribution.

The team will officially depart on the 41-day journey on 2 November 2026 at the South
African Air Force Base in Centurion.

They will land in Cape Town on 12 December 2026. We ask residents to back the team through The Bigg Pull’s website, www.thebiggpull.co.za.

Each donation made through streaming and sponsorship revenue will go directly to
the identified charities.

The City of Tshwane will continue to endorse organisations that help strengthen communities. Meaningful social impact cannot be achieved by the government alone.

Partnerships with charity organisations, businesses and religious stakeholders are key to building strong communities.
