Constable Makole Olga Hlokwa from Region 5 in Rayton
As the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) continues to celebrate Women’s Month under the theme “Empowered Women Empower Nations,”
The TMPD proudly recognize the extraordinary dedication and resilience of Constable Makole Olga Hlokwa from Region 5 in Rayton.
Constable Hlokwa’s journey began in 2013 when she joined the TMPD as a Student Constable and she was officially appointed as a Constable in 2015.
Since her deployment to Region 5 as a road policing member, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment and professionalism.
Her outstanding service over the past decade has earned her well-deserved recognition from regional management as a beacon of strength within the department.
In December 2023, Constable Hlokwa endured a harrowing ordeal on the N1 North after Carousel in Hammanskraal; her vehicle was spiked, and her partner, who was driving, was shot four times by criminals and tragically passed away at the hospital.
During that violent incident, she was robbed of her belongings, including her identity document.
The suspects, later identified as Zimbabwean nationals, used her stolen identity to fraudulently apply for loans
amounting to nearly R500,000 at various banks.
Despite the trauma and ongoing legal proceedings, Constable Hlokwa has remained steadfast and resolute.
She has transformed her personal loss into a powerful motivation to serve her community with even greater dedication.
She said, “Her commitment is not driven by a desire for sympathy but by a profound sense of duty to ensure that no other person suffers a similar fate.”
She encourages others facing hardship to persevere and continue honouring the memory of loved ones through strength and resilience.
In conclusion, she expressed gratitude to those who supported her during difficult times, especially her son, family members, colleagues, and supervisors who showed patience and understanding.
The TMPD honours Constable Makole Olga Hlokwa for her bravery and unwavering spirit.
Her story is a testament to the strength of women, inspiring her colleagues and the broader community to rise above adversity and empower one another in the pursuit of safety, justice and unity.
HAPPY WOMEN’S MONTH TO OUR MBOKODO OF THE DAY CONSTABLE MAKOLE OLGA HLOKWA!!
