The Pretoria Magistrates’ Court postponed the corruption case against the 14 accused linked to the Medicare 24 Tshwane District contract, to 28 August 2026 for finalisation of the disclosure of the case docket.
13 of the accused have provided the state with their electronic storage devices, while another accused is expected to do so later today.
The state committed to provide the disclosure between 15 and 31 July 2026.
Their attorneys have been invited to IDAC offices to receive the electronic storage devices and the verification of the disclosure.
Meanwhile, following the separation of the case against Vusimuzi Matlala and his two companies, and his subsequent appearance at the Specialised Commercial Crime Court wherein a plea and sentence agreement was presented in terms of Sec 105A, the state placed on record that the outcome thereof may result in the amendment of the charge sheet, as well as the possible inclusion of other accused.
