NotInMyName International is proud to announce its full support for former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani “Sugar” Mabunda and the Tiyani Mabunda Foundation’s landmark High Schools Sports Tournament — Mamelodi Edition.

As a civil rights organisation committed to justice, community upliftment, and the empowerment of South Africa’s youth, NotInMyName International recognises the transformative power of sport and education in building stronger, safer communities.

The Tiyani Mabunda Foundation, operating under the motto “Giving Life to the Dream,” has created a platform that bridges the gap between talent and opportunity for young South Africans.

The High Schools Sports Tournament Mamelodi Edition is a landmark two-day event bringing together high school learners from across the Mamelodi and greater Tshwane region to compete, connect, and grow.

This tournament goes beyond sport it is a celebration of youth potential, team spirit, and community pride.

“We are incredibly proud to stand alongside Tiyani ‘Sugar’ Mabunda and his foundation,” said Themba Masango, Secretary-General of NotInMyName International.

“Initiatives like this High Schools Sports Tournament are exactly what our communities need they give young people hope, purpose, and a sense of belonging.

NotInMyName International has a long-standing commitment to community engagement and social justice.

The organisation believes that programmes like the Tiyani Mabunda Foundation’s tournament are vital in addressing the social challenges facing townships and communities across the country.

The Foundation’s work in Mamelodi exemplifies the spirit of community pride and youth development that South Africa needs.

By providing a platform for high school learners to showcase their talents, the Tiyani Mabunda Foundation is unlocking the full potential of the nation’s next generation.
