The parties constituting the Multiparty Coalition Government in the City of Tshwane
congratulate the coalition government on a year of focused leadership, institutional
stabilisation, and measurable progress in rebuilding the capital city.
This past year has affirmed that a Multiparty Coalition Government, grounded in cooperation and a shared programme of action, can deliver stability and results in the best interests of residents.
The Coalition Government has made important strides in restoring financial stability,
strengthening governance, and rebuilding public confidence in the City.
The achievement of a fully-funded and cash-backed budget, alongside improved audit outcomes, reflects disciplined governance and a firm commitment to accountability.
The progress in advancing economic revitalisation is equally notable.
Growing investor confidence and a strengthened investment pipeline point to a City that is regaining its position as a centre of opportunity and growth.
The Coalition Government is further commended for prioritising infrastructure
delivery.
Targeted interventions in water and electricity are steadily improving reliability and addressing long standing service delivery challenges.
In addition, the focus on building a safer and cleaner city is yielding visible results through enhanced law enforcement and strengthened urban management.
Crucially, the Coalition Government has demonstrated a clear commitment to governance reform.
Measures to strengthen procurement systems, improve oversight, and reinforce
consequence management signal a decisive shift towards transparency and institutional integrity.
The progress achieved over the past year reflects deliberate choices, coordinated
action, and a shared commitment by coalition partners to place residents at the centre of governance.
While challenges remain, the work undertaken to date provides a strong foundation for continued progress.
The Multiparty Coalition Government remains committed to deepening these gains and ensuring that the benefits of a capable, responsive City are felt across all
communities in Tshwane.
