KNORROX HANDS INDUSTRIAL KITCHEN TO SEKAMPANENG PRIMARY SCHOOL

Knorrox soup company handed the Sekampaneng Primary School in Hammanskraal a full industrial kitchen at the weekend.

This as the school came out tops out of the thirty schools that were trained as part of the company’s National Schools’ programme whereby the company trains volunteer food handlers at schools nationwide in terms of how to cook the company’s dishes for learners at schools.

Knorrox Marketing Manager Thobeka Goba told Tshwane Talks that the kitchen makeover is worth a R100 000. initiative is called ”We give a Bull” and is meant at nourishing learners who are in need.

The principal of the school Duduzile Nkuna told Tshwane Talks that she was very happy and emotional about Knorrox helping out her learners.

She revealed that there is one learner who always didn’t finish eating her food as she had to share it with her mother but is now relieved that Knorrox has helped out and can eat her full meal and take some food to her mother.

School Governlng Body (SGB) chairperson Tebogo Sibiya also expressed his thanks to Knorrox for revamping the school’s kitchen and recognizing them as the top achieving school in the Knorrox initiative.

Chief Director at the Department of Basic Education Moses Ndlovu said he was happy that Sekampaneng Primary School came out tops among the 20 schools that had entered the Knorrox competition.

“A hungry learner can not learn but through the Knorrox initiative learners can come to school and enhance our educational outcomes,” said Ndlovu.
