The late Tshidi Madia
By African Media and Communication Forum
The African Media & Communicators Forum (AMCF) is devastated to hear of the passing of seasoned journalist Matshidiso Madia.
Tshidi, as she was known by her colleagues and listeners was an honest and open-minded journalist, often tackling the political sphere with passion, questioning and holding those in political office accountable.
She was recently in the United States of America for her news network, Primedia, when President Cyril Ramaphosa met with Donald Trump.
Madia did not shy away from correcting the journalists there, flying South Africa’s flag high by defending the country, but once again proving that she was a brilliant and dedicated journalist.
“Today is a sad day for South African journalism.
Tshidi had integrity always in how she reported and shared the news with to the public.
She was knowledgeable and truly passionate about her craft.
Her passing is a great loss to the journalism fraternity”, said AMCF Chairperson Elijah Mhlanga.
As the AMCF we send out deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
May her soul rest in peace.
