TSHWANE EMERGENCY SERVICES RESPONDS TO RESIDENTIAL FIRE IN PRETORIA GARDENS

Tshwane Emergency Services responded swiftly to a residential fire that broke out at approximately 10:28 on Saturday, 24 May 2025 at 937 Louise Street in Pretoria Gardens.

A fire engine, rapid intervention unit, and command vehicle were immediately
dispatched from station 1, and station 17.

Upon arrival, firefighters found significant fire involvement affecting four bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and lounge.

A ladder truck and rehabilitation unit from station 15 were dispatched for assistance with the operations.

Firefighters managed to contain and
extinguish the blaze effectively.

Overhaul operations were conducted to ensure the fire did not reignite.

Two occupants suffered smoke inhalation and were treated on scene, subsequently
transported to Pretoria West Hospital for further medical attention.

The scene was handed over to the South
African police Services for further investigation into the cause of the fire.

Tshwane Emergency Services commends the quick and coordinated response of all crews involved and reminds residents to remain vigilant and ensure that all electrical appliances and heating devices are used safely.
